Hello, I’m Juliet Clare Bell, but please call me Clare!
I'm a children's author who likes to tell warm and engaging stories with my picture books and early readers. I believe that good story-telling should be at the heart of what we write whether it's fiction or non-fiction, and whether it's pure entertainment or dealing with more challenging topics.
Some of my books explore complex emotional and social issues, such as consent, sibling bereavement, anxiety, childhood eating disorder and life-limiting illnesses.
I also write early readers and picture books for educational publishers including Pearson, Collins, OUP and Franklin Watts.
As well as writing, I love doing author visits and workshops at schools and other educational settings.
